It has been quite an entertaining 2023–24 season of the English Premier League. Three teams are still in the hunt to achieve greatness and immortality. Liverpool want to close out this season and the final chapter of Jurgen Klopp’s tenure with the Premier League crown. Arsenal are chasing their first title in 20 years and are itching to end their title drought. Manchester City are aiming to become the first team in Premier League history to win four consecutive titles. If they’re able to achieve this epic milestone, they’ll go down as the best Premier League side of all time. Here, I am going to assess each team’s chances to win the title this season.

Can Jurgen Klopp end his reign with the Premier League title?

Liverpool are the best candidates to become champions this season. They have a relatively easy fixture list as compared to their rivals. Only Tottenham and Aston Villa can prove troublesome in their quest for the Premier League crown. If they simply win all of their matches with a substantial goal difference, they will be crowned champions. Furthermore, they have other duties, like the Europa League, but that shouldn’t be a problem regardless. The teams that are remaining should not pose a threat to them. They can easily focus on both competitions, and the complexity of the fixtures should not trouble them.

Liverpool have been handed a silver platter to go on and win the Premier League title this season. They’re not going to get a better chance than this. They can easily do the double with the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League. That will cap off an excellent season for Liverpool and mark the end of the Jurgen Klopp era. Regardless, whatever happens, Klopp will go down as one of the best managers of Liverpool F.C. and the Premier League as well.

Can Arsenal finally lift the elusive Premier League crown?

Arsenal were so close last season to finally ending their title drought. They were ahead of the pack, leading by several points, but ultimately imploded. They have played well this season to still stay in the hunt and keep their rivals in check. As a result, they are topping the table at the moment, but only on goal difference. So, when assessing Arsenal’s chances to win the title, it’s still looking quite gloomy. They have the toughest fixtures when compared to Liverpool and Manchester City. They have to face Aston Villa, derbies against Chelsea and Tottenham, and confront Manchester United on away turf.

In the middle of all of this are the Champions League duties, which cannot be ignored. With the talent they have and the way they’re playing, they can easily lift that crown as well. But they need to navigate the intricacies of the fixtures that are coming thick and fast. They also have to play remarkably well in all of their matches to have a chance at glory. But it’s looking quite unlikely for them to win the English title this season.

Can Manchester City do the unprecedented?

Winning back-to-back Premier League titles is tough. Winning it three times in succession is quite rare. Achieving this feat four times in a row is unthinkable. But here are Manchester City, right on the doorsteps of glory and immortality. Although this time there are two teams that can stop them from retaining their crown and are playing at the top of their game. Manchester City have an easy fixture list when compared to Liverpool and Arsenal. Only Tottenham and Brighton can pose some challenge in their remaining fixtures. They also have experience when it comes to winning games at the tail end of the season.

But they have other duties, like chasing the treble for a second consecutive season. In their current form, they can retain both the FA Cup and the Champions League. But the Premier League is looking highly unlikely this season. The problem lies in the fact that they have been unable to get the job done against their title rivals. Drawing against each of them recently has not helped them in their quest for a sixth title in seven years. These results will come back to haunt them if they’re unsuccessful in their pursuit of four successive English League titles.

Best chances of winning?

This is a very exciting title race that I haven’t experienced in quite some time. It rarely happens where three teams are still chasing for the Premier League title this late in the game. I believe Liverpool has the best chance of winning it. They have to ensure they don’t make any errors leading up to the final day of the league. Arsenal are on top but have a tricky fixture list. There are teams that will definitely be a challenge, and they might slip up against some of them. Manchester City have the talent and experience to win the title, but they’re at the mercy of others slipping up. In the end, this title race is something that happens once in a blue moon, and I’m grateful to be able to experience something like this. Let’s enjoy this one.
